Contains one of the world's largest primeval beech forests that have been largely unaffected by humans, and a valuable ecosystem is maintained in which a wide variety of plants and animals inhabit and grow naturally. It was registered as a World Heritage Site (Natural Heritage Site) in December 1993.

A collective term for a group of 33 lakes surrounded by beech forests located in the western Shirakami Mountains. Particularly famous is the "Blue Pond," which shines in a bright cobalt blue.It is so transparent that you can see fallen trees at the bottom, yet its clear blue surface, which looks like ink, is mysterious.

As the residence of the Tsugaru clan, it served as the center of the Tsugaru domain for 260 years. It has an area of approximately 50ha and is made up of 6 citadels surrounded by triple moats and earthworks. Within the castle grounds, the castle tower, three buildings, and five castle gates remain, all of which are designated as important cultural properties.

This shrine is located at the foot of the beautiful Mt. Iwaki, also known as Tsugaru Fuji.It has a history of over 1,200 years since its establishment, and is deeply believed by the people of Tsugaru. It is also said to be a power spot for mountain worshipers.

This is a facility where you can see the impressive Tachineputa. You are sure to be overwhelmed by the height of Tachineputa, which reaches up to the fourth floor of the building! You can also try out taiko and hayashi performances.

It is one of the scenic spots that represent Towada-Hachimantai National Park. It is also known as a famous spot for viewing fresh greenery and autumn leaves, and is filled with people who come to enjoy the four seasons and those who come to relieve the fatigue of daily life.
